What is Wrong? What do we do?

What is Wrong? What do we do?
By: JBH Wonders, 11/2011

Sometimes days just go so well that it is hard to believe it all happened purely by chance. So perhaps it did not happen by chance. (Which has nothing to do with the following article. I did not want to begin with a negative attitude).

I began writing this article as a result of frustration. I needed a summary to mull over and thought such a summary could be made to help me retain my sanity and perhaps someone else’s who reads this. So here are some questions that many people must be asking besides me:

How can the whole world be facing bankruptcy as I write this? With the exception of a few tons of junk sent out into space, everything that was here on the seventh day when God rested, IS STILL HERE.1
Why is there a food shortage panic looming?
Why is there a prevalence of military “conflicts” and wars?
Why is there always some pandemic being promoted?
Why are children starving in “third world countries” even with all of the aid that they receive?
Why do people in some “third world countries” have to drink soda pop because they do not have clean water? (How can soda pop be plentiful but clean water is not?)
Why do certain problems persist when there are obvious solutions?
Why are so-called leaders posturing over solutions to problems that do not even exist? Why are some leaders disappearing or being ousted or made dead?

These may all be rhetorical questions that I ask as the “why” as well as much more of the “what” of it all is being covered by “alternate source news” websites as well as a few internet radio programs. For your edification, here are a few: www.jbc.com (John Birch Society), www.lewrockwell.com, www.strike-the-root.com (“A Journal of Liberty”), www.republicbroadcasting.org. There are numerous others.

So what is the problem? After being on this planet for so long, how and why can any living soul on this planet be lacking in necessities for basic survival? Yes there are more souls walking around as we have reproduced over the years. But in my opinion, it is quite obvious that technology has advanced at a faster rate than the population growth. This has allowed more efficient and easier ways to economically grow food and produce other needs and wants. So again I ask, what is the problem? What are we doing wrong?

Much of what follows is “digested” material from the tons of material I have exposed myself to.

1. “The Law of Conservation of Mass” states (paraphrased) that matter cannot be created or destroyed, “…what exists now has  always existed…”. Things have been changed around but what was here 10, 100, or 1000 years ago is still here.

First Thought

At some point in the early years of man, greed began and has perpetuated over time. It would be redundant for me to expound upon this. The greed of man is covered in the Bible and also has been written and talked about by highly educated and intelligent Theists, Philosophers, and Psychologist, and other scholar types. Suffice to say that if someone wants something from someone else bad enough, there could be trouble and there often is.

“Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's”. Exodus 20:17.

“Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.” Philippians 4:11

“And having food and raiment let us be therewith content”. I Timothy, 6:8.

Second Thought

There are too many who want (and are currently getting) too much from too few. They are called “slackers” by some. They live off of “entitlements” from various government agencies. On the other hand, there are a few “elites” (some would call them parasites) living quite lavishly at the expense of the many. This has occurred through ignorance of the masses and deceptions by the ones in charge of the masses. We were informed and warned about these situations also:

“For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.”  II Thessalonians 3:10

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” Hosea 4:6

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places”. Ephesians 6:12

(Note: If anyone wants to bring up the “Romans 13 Argument” concerning obedience to government, I invite you to read an article entitled “Romans Chapter 13 Revisited” by Chuck Baldwin. This article and numerous others concerning this topic are available for free on the internet.)

Third Thought

And another thing that may be causing world strife is that immorality is going rampant. Immorality has always been around but it used to be taboo. It was bad. And if one was doing something immoral or knew about something immoral going on, it was all kept hidden “in the closet”.

Some immoral practices are now touted to be “progressive”, “natural”, “beautiful”, etc. and everyone should be “tolerant” of this behavior and preferably everyone should “embrace” it. This immoral behavior is being portrayed and displayed by certain television programs, entertainers, media, and “Hollywood” type characters.

This new attitude about immorality (among other things) is being reinforced in the public school by indoctrination instead of education. Laws are being passed and enforced as an attempt to force acceptance of these new behavior patterns. Lawsuits are occurring because some good folks are refusing to accept this. So now we have another “divide and conquer” situation going on. More confusion, more hate, more fear, more bigotry.

“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” Isaiah 5:20

Fourth Thought

Why are people acting this way? Why are they so gullible to go along with something “new” even when they know that it is wrong? Why do we behave like such “lemmings” and blindly follow any dictate (laws and statues) even when it is contrary to our personal freedom, spiritual and physical health, and general well being.

We are a fallen people but Jesus Christ gave his life to redeem all of us. Why are we not seeking the truth and something better for ourselves? It is not my intent to present any arguments or excuses. But as a side note I would point out that at least in the Western Countries, a large portion of the populace is medicated with fluoridated water and also consumes a wide variety of prescription drugs. It has been stated that this could be one reason why people are acting the way they do. Is this a part of some agenda by the “evil ones”? I truly do not know.

Conclusion

Well I feel better having worked through this somewhat. I am no answer man and make no claims to being a holy man or a leader of any sort. However, (you knew that was coming) from my Bible studies and simply observing what is going on, the problem IS!!!!!!!
A lack of faith and obedience to our Creator.

So as I see it, we should continue with doing what is needed to survive without restricting someone else’s effort to do likewise. And if anyone is having a difficult time caring for themselves, others should step in and help. It is called being charitable. Unfortunately “charity” today days does not mean what it used to even if the effect of it sometimes remains the same. Now days, if you are providing “charity” then you are to be recognized and honored somehow. If you are receiving “charity”, then you are pitied and considered weak.

I quote the infamous words: “Why can’t we all just get along?” And then most importantly, we should work on doing this:

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” II Chronicles 7:14
